This Guttman data tracking template allows schools, teams and teachers to track and visually analyse student growth within a subject, multiple subjects, class, or cohort. Teachers can use these Guttman tracking sheets as teams, cohorts, schools, or individually. It is a simple tracking system using two colours: green and red, and two digits: 0 and 1.

This Guttman markbook is calculated to identify skills, concepts and content knowledge that students can do, and those that they have not achieved yet. If students can perform the skill, concept, or have sufficient content knowledge, a '1' is used to indicate success. A '0' is used to indicate a 'not yet achieved' status. This results in a visual type of 'graph' (or data wall) where the cohort and/ or classes marks are organised, ranging from the skills, concepts, or knowledge areas that students are the most adept in, to those they are least able to perform. These visual representations are found in the Guttman 'G' tabs in the markbook. The original 'O' tab lists students and their tallies/ scores in alphabetical order.
